On 8 - 10 April 2016, English debate team participated in Malaysian National Schools Debating Championships at Fairview International School, Kuala Lumpur.
There were 57 teams from 31 schools that took part in the competition. SEMESRA team debated against Sri KL, Methodist College Kuala Lumpur, MCKK, SMK Taman Desa 2 and SMK Convent Bukit Nenas. The team only managed to win 2 out of 5 rounds.
It was an interesting and challenging debate tournament and the team definitely has learnt a lot from it. Hopefully, the newly gained experience will help the team to fare better in the next tournaments.
